Nice to meet you
I’m Molly: a writer at heart and a content designer by practice. I believe language is one of the most powerful tools we have for helping people feel understood, supported, and at ease, especially in digital spaces where those needs are so often forgotten.
Before working in tech, I spent years in hospitality leadership and social impact roles. Hospitality taught me to anticipate others' needs before the ask, and to solve problems under pressure. In social impact work, I honed my qualitative research and systems thinking skills. Over the years, I've written everything from novels to case studies to cocktail menus, and along the way, I've developed a strong instinct for clarity, flow, and tone. That foundation now guides my approach to product content, documentation, and user guidance. Whether I'm structuring an error message, editing a tooltip, or rewriting a help article, I aim for clarity first—and rhythm always.
Outside of design, I write essays and fiction—usually exploring why people do the curious things they do, which turns out to be quite relevant to UX. That part of me, the observer and storyteller, is never separate from my design work; it’s what helps me notice friction, ask better questions, and write in a way that respects complexity while avoiding confusion.
I’m based in Los Angeles and open to remote work. I’m drawn to teams that care about language, listen closely to their users, and value thoughtful collaboration.
